Kathmandu – In a recent development, the Ministry of Home Affairs, under the coordination of Secretary Prem Prasad Bhattarai, has formed a discussion team to engage in talks with the concerned parties regarding the ongoing dispute over the construction of a suspension bridge in the Taplejung district of Mukkumlung. The controversy arose due to the construction of the bridge by a private company without adhering to proper procedures.
The Ministry has taken the initiative to mediate between the stakeholders involved in the dispute to find an amicable solution. The discussion team aims to address the grievances of the locals and ensure that the construction process is carried out in a manner that is acceptable to all parties.
The issue has sparked concerns among the residents of the area, who fear that the construction of the bridge may have adverse effects on the environment and the local community.
