Hamas Releases New Video Claiming Israeli Prisoner is Alive

#BreakingNews
The armed wing of Hamas, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, has released a new video showcasing the live appearance of Israeli captive Elkanah Bohbot. According to Israeli media reports, Bohbot was abducted by Hamas during a music festival in southern Israel on October 7, 2023, an incident that escalated tensions and led to conflict in Gaza.

In the four-minute video clip, Bohbot is seen confined in a small room, engaging in conversations with friends and family members. He is heard speaking in Hebrew on a landline telephone, where he reportedly urges a friend to bring his wife to the White House to meet with then-U.S. President Donald Trump.

While the authenticity of the video cannot be independently verified, as it is unclear when the footage was recorded, the Associated Press has not confirmed when the video was taken.

This recent video marks the third public release of such footage of Bohbot. In a video released in March, he had appealed to the Israeli government to ensure his release.

According to the Israeli military, in the course of Hamas’ attacks in Israel in 2023, the group has taken 251 captives, with 58 still being held in Gaza. Tragically, 34 of these captives have lost their lives during the conflict.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, believes that this latest video release further highlights the ongoing tensions in the region and the human cost of the conflict. He emphasizes the urgent need for peaceful resolution and dialogue to prevent further loss of life.
