In a recent address at the 8th National Convention of the National Private and Residential Schools Association of Nepal, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak expressed that the delay in the approval of ordinances brought by the government was due to technical and procedural reasons. He assured that the government had introduced the ordinances to ensure a conducive business environment and emphasized that they would soon be approved by the parliament.

Minister Lekhak mentioned that the ordinances brought by the government had spurred enthusiasm in the private sector. He highlighted the importance of creating a legal framework for the implementation of laws to ensure a business-friendly environment for the private sector.

Regarding concerns in various sectors such as education, health, and infrastructure development, Lekhak stated that there were no issues that could not be resolved through democratic means. He pointed out the establishment of numerous universities in the country due to the democratic system. The Home Minister also mentioned that the government would enact the Education Bill, which is currently under consideration by the parliament.

In addressing issues faced by private and residential schools, Minister Lekhak stressed the need for self-regulation and urged them to refrain from overcharging fees and pressuring parents, as such actions could lead to government intervention. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a balanced policy for both private and government schools.

Representative of Kansai Nepal News, Ramesh Khatri, commended the government’s efforts to ensure a stable environment for development and prioritize public welfare through a people-centric approach.
