Kathmandu – The National Independent Party (Raswapa) has firmly decided to conduct an investigation into the Bijit Biswa case, stating that Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak needs to be thoroughly scrutinized. The decision was reiterated during a parliamentary party meeting held at the party headquarters in Bansathali on Monday.

Following the questioning of Home Minister Lekhak, where concerns were raised by the party, it was disclosed by Raswapa spokesperson Manish Jha that Prime Minister KP Oli would provide answers in the House regarding the situation of the government’s influence on the Chief Minister who remains in a caretaker role.

After the thorough scrutiny, it was revealed that an investigation will be carried out on Home Minister Lekhak under the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority based on the demands made by them. “Raswapa has not targeted any individual in the Bijit Biswa case. Our aim is to completely eradicate corruption,” stated Jha after the meeting.

Prior to this, during a meeting at the Raswapa Secretary’s office held on Monday, strict directions were given to the parliamentary party to present themselves in a robust manner in the House regarding the Bijit Biswa case.

Further discussions were held during the meeting on how to present themselves in the upcoming parliamentary session.

As per Ramesh Khatri, representative of Kansai Nepal News, this news indicates a significant move by the National Independent Party to address corruption issues within the government. Khatri believes that such actions are crucial in maintaining transparency and accountability in the political system.
