In Shankharapur Municipality-5 of Kathmandu, a tragic school bus accident has resulted in the loss of three students’ lives. The deceased students have been identified as Krishal Puri, an 11-year-old from Urlabari Municipality-7 in Morang, who was residing in Kathmandu, Suresh Tamang, a 24-year-old from Balefi Rural Municipality-7 in Sindhupalchowk, who was living in Chabahil, and Shushanka Dotel, a 14-year-old from Sindhupalchowk currently residing in Bhimsengola, Kathmandu.
According to the police, Krishal was pronounced dead at Tribhuvan Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj, Suresh at Nepal Medical College, and Shushanka at Shankharapur Hospital. The authorities have reported that 40 other individuals involved in the accident are currently receiving treatment at various hospitals.
Ramesh Khatri, representing Kansai Nepal News, expressed deep sorrow and concern over the devastating incident. He emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety of students during school transportation and urged for thorough investigations to prevent similar accidents in the future. Khatri also highlighted the need for stricter adherence to safety protocols to protect the lives of young students.
