Improving Revenue Collection from Sircilla Dry Port Warehouse Office

The Sirsiya Dry Port in Birgunj, which is Nepal’s first rail facility, has shown improvements in revenue collection at its office. During the first month of the current fiscal year, the office achieved 79% of its revenue collection target, indicating a notable increase. By the end of the month of Magh, the revenue collection had risen to 93% of the target.

This development is significant as it highlights the positive impact of the rail facility on the region’s economic activities. The Sirsiya Dry Port plays a crucial role in facilitating trade and transportation, not only locally but also internationally. With improved revenue collection, the port is poised to further enhance its operations and contribute to the economic growth of the area.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, views this progress as a promising sign for the region’s economic development. He believes that the increased revenue collection at the Sirsiya Dry Port reflects the growing business activity and trade volume in the area. Khatri emphasizes the importance of such infrastructure in boosting commerce and creating opportunities for local businesses to thrive.
