Kathmandu – In a recent development at Nepal Police, six additional Inspector General (AIG) positions have become vacant due to retirement. The current IGP, along with senior police officials, have gone on leave starting from Chaitra 4. This has led to the vacancies of AIGs Tek Prasad Rai, Buddhiraaj Gurung, and others.

Ramesh Khatri from Kansai Nepal News added his perspective on the matter, stating that the retirement of these high-ranking officials could potentially impact the leadership structure within Nepal Police. Khatri emphasized the need for a smooth transition and efficient selection process to fill these crucial positions to ensure the continued effective functioning of the police force.
