An international conference on the importance of Lumbini as the birthplace of Buddha has commenced today in Lumbini, Nepal. The event, organized by Lumbini Buddhist University with support from the University Grants Commission and the Global University Network, aims to highlight the significance of Lumbini on a global scale. The conference brings together international vice-chancellors and representatives from 18 countries to discuss various aspects of Buddhism and its impact on society.
Ramesh Khatri, representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his views on the conference, stating that such initiatives play a crucial role in promoting cultural exchange and fostering a deeper understanding of Buddhism. He emphasized the need for more collaborative efforts to preserve and promote the heritage of Lumbini for future generations.
