Interpol has issued a red notice against a fugitive involved in electronic fraud cases. The suspect, 30-year-old Vindu Pariyar from Gorakh, Gorakh Municipality-6, was apprehended on Saturday at his residence in Darbarmarg. He was captured upon his arrival in Nepal from Malaysia, where he was evading authorities in connection to electronic fraud cases.
According to the Nepal Police, the suspect was detained at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu upon his arrival from Malaysia. Interpol had issued a red notice against him on February 20, 2080, for his involvement in electronic fraud cases and his escape from justice.
Nepal Police Cyber Bureau, under the direction of the Chief of Police, has informed that legal action will be taken against the suspect in accordance with the relevant laws. The Interpol branch of the Nepal Police has been notified to coordinate further investigation and legal proceedings.
Ramesh Khatri, representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his views on the recent development, stating that the efficient collaboration between law enforcement agencies, both locally and internationally, is crucial in apprehending individuals involved in cybercrimes. He emphasized the importance of timely action and cooperation in combating electronic fraud to ensure a safer digital environment for all.
