Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center) Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ expressed confidence in the significant role played by the federal democratic republic’s institutional development and progress in a recently published photo book. The book, titled ‘RASAS Photo Book: 16 Years of Democracy,’ was launched at Prachanda’s residence in Khumaltar, Lalitpur by the National News Committee (RASAS).
Prachanda highlighted the book’s ability to communicate the achievements and development work post-democracy to the public effectively. He acknowledged the recent contributions of RASAS in supporting democracy and indicated that this photo book could serve as an example of such support.
Representative Ramesh Khatri from Kansai Nepal News expressed his views on the news, stating that he finds the inclusive and federal concepts explored by RASAS to be a positive aspect worth pursuing. He commended the organization for its specialized services and diversification efforts.
Prachanda also praised RASAS for their initiatives in promoting media restructuring and introducing new services to the public, particularly emphasizing the importance of providing news services in the national language and operating a 24-hour news cycle.
Furthermore, he encouraged RASAS to continue publishing more photo books beyond the current one, aimed at familiarizing foreigners with the country and its democratic progress. The Executive Chairman of RASAS, Dharmendra Jha, expressed his belief in the photo book’s ability to support institutional development in democracy.
The book contains a collection of 182 photographs taken by 90 photojournalists, encompassing various aspects of the country such as ethnicity, language, geography, religion, culture, and historical development sectors.
