In a tragic incident in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists targeted a group of tourists, resulting in the deaths of at least 16 individuals. Among the victims were two foreign nationals, as confirmed by Indian media outlets. Following the attack, heightened security measures have been implemented in Delhi and Mumbai.

According to reports, the terrorist attack in Pahalgam claimed the lives of two foreign nationals, who were identified as citizens of Nepal and the UAE. Eyewitnesses mentioned that between two to three terrorists fired more than 50 rounds during the attack, raising concerns of additional casualties. There are fears that up to 28 individuals may have lost their lives in this tragic event.

In response to the incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has held discussions with the Home Minister to gather information about the situation and provide necessary directives. The affected families are receiving condolences and support, with reports indicating that Shivamogga Lok Sabha MP B.Y. Raghavendra visited the home of a victim to offer his condolences.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Embassy has reported that no Israeli citizens were among the casualties of the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Local residents in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, have organized candlelight vigils to condemn the violence.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed deep sympathy for the victims and their families, condemning the brutal terrorist attack. He also urged the central government to convene an immediate all-party meeting to unite all political parties and build trust in the face of such tragic events. Khatri extended his wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured individuals and emphasized the importance of standing together during these challenging times.
