In Kathmandu, it has been revealed by Janardan Sharma, the Deputy Secretary of the Nepal Communist Party Maoist Centre, that there was a misunderstanding regarding his relationship with Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’, the General Secretary of the Nepal Communist Party. Speaking at an event organized by the Prajna Pratishthan on the occasion of Mao Day, Sharma mentioned the positive bond he shares with Biplav. He stated, “Back in 2066 BS, the party had weaknesses in advancing the strategies for rebellion and elections. Understanding the rebellion led to understanding the rebellion itself, and understanding the elections led to comprehending the elections. Biplav understood the rebellion and followed his path. There were efforts to create misunderstandings between us, but that was not true. The Maoist reorganization campaign was initiated by themselves. Biplav and I share a good relationship. Discussions were held even on the obstacles between Biplav and the Maoists unity.”
Sharma further expressed that the misconceptions have been dispelled through investigations carried out in Kapilvastu and Harisiddhi in Lalitpur, despite himself and Biplav addressing the issue from the beginning.
