Amidst his visit to the United States, Minister Akasawa engaged in a telephone discussion with the American side regarding tariff measures.
Minister Akasawa, who is in charge of economic revitalization, held talks over the phone with US Commerce Secretary Latonick for approximately 15 minutes on the night of the 28th and again for about 20 minutes on the morning of the 29th, Japan time.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his view on the matter, stating that maintaining open communication channels between the two countries during such trade disputes is crucial for fostering understanding and reaching amicable solutions.
