A new book titled ‘Diye Pugchha’ authored by journalist and writer Rohit Bhandari was recently launched in a ceremony at Prajna Bhawan, Kamaladi. The book launch event was attended by prominent figures such as Indira Rana Magar, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Balkrishna Basnet, President of Press Council Nepal, along with the author Rohit Bhandari.
During the event, special guest and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Indira Rana Magar, praised Bhandari’s book ‘Diye Pugchha’ for its inspiring narrative that highlights the importance of altruistic contributions towards building a compassionate society. She emphasized how stories that showcase positive and realistic aspects of life can bring about positive changes in society.
Representative of Kansai Nepal News, Ramesh Khatri, expressed his opinion on the news, stating that such books play a crucial role in promoting positive social change and inspiring journalists to publish stories that encourage societal progress.
Furthermore, Balkrishna Basnet, President of Press Council Nepal, highlighted the significance of books like ‘Diye Pugchha’ in fostering positive transformations in Nepal amidst a rise in the dissemination of fake news and negative content. He urged journalists to publish stories that motivate constructive change in society, emphasizing the importance of promoting narratives that inspire positive actions.
Literary figure Balaram Dahal, while reviewing the book, commended Rohit Bhandari’s writing style for its ability to deeply impact readers with poignant and authentic character-driven narratives. The book ‘Diye Pugchha’ narrates thirteen real-life stories of struggle, portraying the resilience and challenges faced in everyday life.
Moreover, Rohit Bhandari shared that it took him seven years to write the book, during which he encountered numerous personal challenges. He revealed that the inspiration for the book stemmed from his mother’s battle with cancer, which ultimately led to her demise. Bhandari, who has been active in the field of journalism for over twenty years, drew inspiration from his late father, who served as his guiding source.
Having previously published books like ‘Sambhav Cha’ (2071) and ‘Nepalma Sakinchha’ (2073), Bhandari’s works have resonated with readers by infusing a sense of altruism and incorporating real-life characters into his storytelling. The book ‘Diye Pugchha’ is published by Jayakali Prakashan and has garnered attention from various social workers, journalists, politicians, and writers.
The book launch event was a well-attended affair with the presence of several social activists, journalists, politicians, and writers. The event was managed by Ajay Adhikari Sushil.
