A procession has been carried out from Swayambhunath to BadriNarayanDham in Kathmandu. The newly constructed BadriNarayanDham in Ramkot, Nagarjun Municipality-7, is intended to be a center for spiritual activities and will undergo consecration rituals from Baisakh 19 to 27.
The event, organized jointly by Narayan Pokharel Foundation and All Nepal Sports Foundation, saw participation from over a thousand individuals. The foundation has announced that the consecration ceremony at the newly built temple will take place from Baisakh 19 to 27.
The President of Nepal, Ramchandra Poudel, is scheduled to inaugurate the consecration ceremony, which is aimed at promoting religious tourism development in Ramkot, Nagarjun Municipality-7. The foundation has invested Rs. 40 crores in the construction of BadriNarayanDham.
Spanning 22 ropanis of land in Ramkot, the complex includes structures like a pagoda and temple built in the Shikhar style, along with facilities such as a spiritual center, meditation center, modern Gurukul, and accommodations for devotees.
Representative Ramesh Khatri of Kansai Nepal News expressed his opinion on the event by stating, “The establishment of BadriNarayanDham signifies a major step towards spiritual development in Nepal, and it is commendable to see such initiatives being undertaken.”
In addition to the BadriNarayan Temple, the complex will also house administrative buildings, the office of Narayan Pokharel Foundation, yoga and meditation centers, a havan kund, and temples dedicated to Ganesh, Surya, Devi, and Shiva.
