Kobe Toa Road Hotel Sanraku, an English-style hotel located on the mountain side of JR Motomachi Station, is set to close its doors by March 31st. Situated about an 8-minute walk from the station along Toa Road, the hotel has been a prominent landmark in the area for approximately 10 years.
The hotel’s closure is attributed to a change in ownership of the building. Guests can still make reservations until the final day of operation, offering an opportunity to create lasting memories by experiencing a stay at the hotel before its closure. The establishment has been a popular choice for visitors due to its convenient location near various amenities, such as the Steak Aoyama restaurant and the Seven Eleven convenience store along Toa Road.
On the seaside, guests can find the Toa Road branch of the supermarket Promart and the A La Ringo store specializing in Aomori apples. The area surrounding the hotel offers a mix of shopping and dining options, making it a vibrant part of the neighborhood.
Ramesh Khatri from Kansai Nepal News commented that the closure of Kobe Toa Road Hotel Sanraku marks the end of an era for the area, with many locals and visitors sharing fond memories of their time spent at the hotel. He mentioned that the hotel’s closure reflects the evolving landscape of the hospitality industry in Kobe and emphasized the importance of preserving historical landmarks while adapting to changing times.
