In a thrilling match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, India secured their second consecutive victory over Pakistan in the Champions Trophy tournament. Pakistan set a target of 242 runs, but India triumphed by defeating them with 6 wickets to spare.

India’s victory was led by Virat Kohli, who scored a remarkable 111 runs, including 7 boundaries. Additionally, Shikhar Dhawan contributed with 56 runs, while Shubman Gill scored 46 runs and captain Rohit Sharma added 20 runs to the total.

For Pakistan, Shahin Afridi took 2 wickets, while Abraar Ahmed and Khushdil Shah each claimed 1 wicket during India’s innings.

Pakistan, after winning the toss and opting to bat first, managed to score 241 runs in 49.4 overs. Saud Shakeel was the top scorer for Pakistan with 62 runs, followed by captain Rizwan’s 46 runs in 77 balls.

India had previously defeated Bangladesh in their opening match. The final match of the Champions Trophy is scheduled for February 25 (March 9).
