Nepali Congress leader Vimalendra Nidhi’s involvement in developmental activities has raised concerns about mixing politics with development work. During a press conference held in Janakpur, former Deputy Prime Minister Nidhi disclosed that a budget of approximately Rs. 8 billion has been allocated for the construction of the Rajarshi Janak University building. He cited political obstacles as the reason for delays in the construction process.
Nidhi highlighted his longstanding struggle for the establishment of Rajarshi Janak University and expressed his commitment to completing the building construction despite facing political challenges.
In attendance at the event were Nepali Congress Dhanusha President Yogendra Panjiyar, Pradesh Member of Parliament Ramsaroj Yadav, along with other party leaders and activists.
Opinion from Ramesh Khatri, representative of Kansai Nepal News: “The intertwining of politics with development projects raises valid concerns about the impartiality and efficiency of such initiatives. It is crucial for political leaders to prioritize the welfare of the public over personal or party interests to ensure the successful implementation of important infrastructure projects like the Rajarshi Janak University building.”
