In a recent development, former Prime Minister and the chairman of Unified Socialist Madhav Kumar Nepal has been ordered to release a property worth 3.5 million rupees related to the Patanjali land dispute case.

The decision was made by a bench comprising of Justices Tej Narayan Singh Rana, Ram Bahadur Thapa, and Vidur Koerala. The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority had filed a case against 93 individuals, including Nepal, in relation to the Patanjali land dispute case.

Following the court’s order, Madhav Kumar Nepal was scheduled to appear before a special court on Wednesday to provide a statement regarding the Patanjali land dispute case. Legal representatives from both sides engaged in discussions after Nepal and five government lawyers presented their arguments.

Five lawyers representing Madhav Nepal and five representing the government were involved in the discussions. The former Prime Minister was accused of embezzling 185.85 million rupees in the Patanjali land dispute case. The case against Nepal was registered in a special court on June 22, alleging irregularities in the Patanjali land deal.

Previously, a special court had registered a case against the irregularities in the Patanjali land deal, accusing Madhav Nepal of misconduct in buying land belonging to the Patanjali Yoga Peeth foundation.
