Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in a cordial diplomatic meeting held at the Prime Minister’s office in Singha Durbar. The discussions between the two leaders encompassed various aspects of the friendly relations between the two countries, as well as potential collaborations in trade and investment.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Oli commended the rapid progress made by the UAE in the field of development and expressed interest in expanding investments in Nepal, particularly in sectors such as hydroelectricity, renewable energy, and green energy. The Prime Minister urged for increased investment in these areas to further enhance Nepal’s economic growth and development.
Deputy Prime Minister Nahyan, on the other hand, expressed his willingness to encourage UAE businesses to invest in Nepal, particularly in the tourism, energy, and agriculture sectors. He also highlighted his visit to Nepal for two days, scheduled for Tuesday, emphasizing the UAE’s interest in signing a bilateral free trade agreement with Nepal to boost trade relations between the two nations.
