Kathmandu – Student organization close to the ruling party, Amaale Nikat Bidhyarthi Sangathan, has staged a sit-in protest at Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus (RRLC), demanding a halt to the student union elections. The protest comes after allegations of fake digital ID cards being produced and distributed by the campus administration and staff prior to the elections.

A notice has been posted at the campus gate informing about the protest action being taken. The student organization has warned that unless a thorough investigation is conducted into the matter of fake ID cards, they will not allow the elections to proceed.

In response to the situation, impartial investigation has been urged to ensure the transparency of the student union elections. Until a fair investigation is carried out, the student union elections are at risk of being postponed.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed concern over the alleged irregularities in the electoral process and emphasized the importance of upholding democratic principles in student elections. He highlighted the need for accountability and transparency to maintain the integrity of the electoral system.
