“Minister Dahal’s Guidance on Exercising Rights Granted by Law”

The Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Devendra Dahal, has directed employees to utilize the rights provided by the law without hesitation. Emphasizing the importance of fulfilling duties while exercising these rights responsibly, Minister Dahal urged employees to be mindful of their rights and responsibilities.

During the inauguration session of the 12th convention of the Departmental Committee under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Minister Dahal addressed the need for prompt service delivery and rapid development. Stressing the significance of employees not forgetting their rights and duties while carrying out their tasks, he highlighted the government’s achievements within the six months since its formation.

Various projects such as the Kathmandu Terai Fast Track, the construction of the Mugling-Pokhara and Narayanghat-Butwal roads, and legislation pending in parliament were cited by Minister Dahal as areas where progress has been made. Despite challenges like damage caused by floods and landslides to roads like the BP Rajmarga, efforts are underway to ensure smooth transportation operations, with plans to create a conducive environment for transportation management in the upcoming monsoon season.

Secretary Keshav Kumar Sharma of the ministry highlighted the importance of employee organizations and trade unions becoming proactive and influential in their work. He also mentioned that employees’ representatives have been included in the passing of the Federal Civil Service Act in the upcoming parliament session. This move aims to empower employees and ensure their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
