Nabil Bank has recently opened applications for its fifth group of participants for the Nabil School of Social Entrepreneurship (NSSE) Fellowship program. The program aims to promote social entrepreneurship by encouraging individuals who are inclined towards making a positive impact in society through their entrepreneurial skills to participate. Interested individuals can submit their applications until March 25.

Operated in collaboration with the School of Management at Tribhuvan University, the Nabil SSSE Fellowship program will run for up to six months. It includes 18 days of free residential training and a one-year mentoring program. So far, 56 entrepreneurs from three groups have received training, with 45 social enterprises providing employment to 1,184 individuals. Currently, the fourth group of 20 entrepreneurs is undergoing training, and the bank is set to select 20 individuals from the upcoming fifth group of applicants from across the country.

To qualify for participation in the program, Nepali citizens who are at least 18 years old and have either started a business or possess innovative entrepreneurial ideas are eligible to apply. Applications can be submitted by scanning the available QR code on the Nabil School of Social Entrepreneurship’s Facebook page or by downloading the form from Nabil Bank’s website and sending it via email.

The program covers various sectors such as livelihoods, education, health, information technology, arts, community development, agriculture, energy, and sustainable development. It aims to involve entrepreneurs working in diverse fields by providing training from experienced mentors and industry experts. Nabil SSSE provides participants with the necessary resources for business development and also supports them in establishing a presence on relevant platforms and networks to explore financial opportunities.

Established as a catalyst for social change, Nabil SSSE has been operational for three years under Nabil Bank Limited’s institutional social responsibility. The program has successfully conducted fellowship programs and certificate courses, leading to the establishment of over 117 ventures and the creation of more than 1,200 employment opportunities. The fellowship program is conducted in collaboration with the School of Management at Tribhuvan University and operates through 11 educational institutions in seven provinces, including the Nabil Center for Social Entrepreneurship.

From the perspective of Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, this initiative by Nabil Bank to foster social entrepreneurship and create positive social change aligns with the bank’s targeted efforts in financial literacy, entrepreneurship development, health, education, disaster risk reduction, management, and climate change. The bank’s endeavors have positively impacted thousands of individuals in various communities, facilitating positive changes in their lives and advancing environmental conservation efforts.
