The National Assembly meeting, scheduled to commence at 1:15 PM on Friday, was delayed by 15 minutes. The session was initially set to start at 12:15 PM on Thursday. However, opposition party members obstructed the proceedings, leading to the delay. Subsequently, it was announced by the Chairman of the Assembly, Narayan Prasad Dahal, that the meeting would be postponed for an hour.

Following this, a second announcement was made by the Federal Parliament Secretariat, stating that the meeting would now convene at 3:30 PM. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the meeting could not proceed as planned, resulting in the postponement.

Regarding this development, Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, commented, “The delay in the National Assembly meeting is a setback in the legislative process. It is crucial that such disruptions are minimized to ensure the efficient functioning of the parliament and timely decision-making.”

According to the Secretary-General of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Padyam Prasad Pandey, the next National Assembly meeting has been rescheduled to convene on Friday.
