Nepal Clean-Up Campaign Making Progress

Kathmandu – In the U-19 series, the Nepali team emerged victorious against Afghanistan after a thrilling clean sweep. In the final match of the series held on Wednesday, Nepal defeated Afghanistan by 85 runs. Nepal set a target of 192 runs which Afghanistan fell short of, managing to score only 46 runs in 20.1 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process.

Afghanistan had previously defeated Nepal in the first match by 130 runs and in the second match by just 1 run, securing the series title. However, Nepal bounced back strongly in the final match to claim a well-deserved victory.

Ramesh Khatri, representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his delight at the impressive performance of the Nepali U-19 team, highlighting their resilience and skill on the field. He emphasized the importance of such victories in boosting the morale of young cricketers and nurturing talent for the future of Nepali cricket.
