Nepali residents living in Japan are actively promoting Nepali art, culture, and traditions in various regions of Japan to attract Japanese tourists to Nepal. In this initiative, the Nepal Festival has been organized in different parts of Japan with the aim of fostering cultural exchange and piquing the interest of Japanese tourists towards Nepal.

One such event, the Nepal Festival, was recently held in Tochigi, Japan, organized by the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Japan and in collaboration with the Nepali Embassy in Japan. This grand event marked the first Nepal Festival in Tochigi, aiming to showcase Nepali arts and culture, introduce them to the Japanese community, and extend an invitation to Japanese citizens to visit Nepal.

The inauguration of the festival was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Durgabahadur Subedi, the Nepali Ambassador to Japan. The event also witnessed the presence of Rovin Shrestha, Vice President of NRNA ICC, among others.

Following the successful conclusion of the Nepal Festival, the NRNA Tochigi Regional Committee expressed gratitude towards the sponsors, businesses, artists, volunteers, and corporate companies for their support in making the event a success.

The coordination and successful execution of the event were attributed to the leadership roles played by key figures, including Santosh Ghimire, the coordinator of NRNA Japan Tochigi Regional Committee, and the entire regional committee, Tochigi supporters, and organizer committee families, along with Vikash Basnet, the Asia Pacific Youth Coordinator of NRNA and event organizer committee family, who were specially thanked for their contributions.

In conclusion, Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, appreciated the efforts of the Nepali community in Japan for organizing events like the Nepal Festival, which not only promote Nepali culture but also strengthen the ties between Nepal and Japan, fostering mutual understanding and cultural exchange.
