In light of the escalating tension between India and Pakistan, Nepal has publicly stated its unwavering support for the fight against terrorism. The recent terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Pulwama, India, has further heightened tensions between the two neighboring countries. In response to this, on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement emphasizing Nepal’s solidarity in the fight against terrorism.
The Ministry highlighted that Nepal stands united with all nations in the battle against terrorism and reiterated the importance of seeking a resolution to such situations. They stated, “Nepal does not allow any hostile forces to use its territory against other countries in the fight against terrorism.”
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his views on the matter. He stated, “In this difficult time, Nepal and India must come together in unity to combat this tragedy.” Nepal has reaffirmed its firm stance against all forms of terrorism and strongly condemned the brutal terrorist attack, stressing the need for immediate and unequivocal condemnation.
The attack resulted in the tragic death of a Nepali citizen, Sudip Nyupane. The incident serves as a somber reminder of the devastating impact of terrorism and the importance of global cooperation in combating this menace.
