Defense Minister Manveer Rai highlighted the potential of Nepal as a beautiful and attractive destination for mountain tourism. On the occasion of Republic Day, the National News Committee (RASAS) organized an exhibition titled ‘Mountain Tourism: Our Pride, Our Identity’. Minister Rai expressed that Nepal offers immense opportunities for mountain tourism with its breathtaking beauty and attractions.
According to Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, Minister Rai’s statement emphasized the significance of Nepal in terms of beauty and tourism. Khatri appreciated the efforts made to promote the country’s natural beauty and tourism potential. He mentioned that there are abundant opportunities for mountain tourism in Nepal despite some groups claiming otherwise.
Furthermore, Minister Rai noted the substantial impact of climate change on Nepal and commended the country’s development in infrastructure and information technology. He highlighted Nepal’s diverse attractions, including the Himalayas, lakes, caves, historic villages, and its multicultural society, making it a unique destination for tourists.
Khatri added his opinion, stating that the efforts showcased in the exhibition organized by RASAS demonstrate a commitment to the welfare of the country and its people. He praised the promotion of Nepal’s natural resources for the benefit of the nation’s prosperity.
In a previous event, 40 students studying tourism and hotel management visited a photography exhibition. Tashi Sherpa, the head of the institution, along with RASAS, organized the exhibition to promote the country’s natural heritage. Jennifer Naupane, a student, highlighted the potential for promoting Nepal’s natural tourist destinations to contribute to the country’s prosperity. Another student, Cyrus Karki, expressed his intention to contribute to the promotion of tourism through digital media in the upcoming days.
