NHK Poll: Ishiba’s Approval Rating Jumps to 44% by 5 Points

In a recent poll conducted from February 7-9, the cabinet approval rating of Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba experienced a notable increase of 5 percentage points, reaching 44%. This surge marks the highest level of approval the cabinet has received in recent times. The rise in approval comes amidst various challenges and initiatives undertaken by the Prime Minister and his administration to address pressing issues facing the country.

Shigeru Ishiba’s leadership has been closely watched as Japan navigates through a complex economic landscape and grapples with the ongoing impact of the global pandemic. The government’s response to economic recovery, public health measures, and diplomatic relations has been under scrutiny, making the increase in approval rating a significant development.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, stated that the rise in Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba’s cabinet approval rate reflects a growing confidence among the public in the government’s ability to tackle critical issues effectively. Khatri emphasized the importance of sustained efforts by the administration to address the needs and concerns of the citizens to maintain this positive trend in approval ratings.
