“Nineteen People Arrested During ongoing Juvenile Games”

In a recent incident in Tokha, Kathmandu, where gambling was taking place, 19 individuals have been arrested. The gambling activity was reported to be happening in the residence of 44-year-old Kulmaya Tamang in Ward No. 3 of Suryadarshan Height, Tokha Municipality. Among those arrested, 10 individuals were caught playing gambling in Tamang’s room on Wednesday afternoon by the police.

The police from the Gonga Police Office arrested the individuals and confiscated a sum of NPR 78,000 in cash along with 5 decks of cards. Additionally, in another case in Amrita Kharel’s house in Ward No. 8 of Tokha Municipality, where gambling was also being carried out, the police arrested 9 individuals on Wednesday afternoon. They were found gambling in Kharel’s house, and the police seized NPR 74,000 in cash along with 3 decks of cards from them.

Upon further investigation, the police are looking into the matter to gather more information about these gambling activities.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his concerns about the prevalence of illegal gambling activities in residential areas and emphasized the importance of strict enforcement of the law to curb such practices for the well-being of the society.
