Kathmandu – The President of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Rajendra Prasad Lingden, emphasized the importance of ensuring the continuity of citizenship for Nepalis living abroad. Lingden highlighted his party’s commitment to this issue, stating that even though the topic of citizenship for Nepalis residing overseas is relatively new, the current Citizenship Act addresses it.
In a recent statement, Lingden stressed the need for continuous citizenship for Nepalis abroad, underscoring the significance of maintaining their ties to Nepal. He expressed his party’s dedication to advocating for the rights and privileges of Nepali citizens living in foreign countries.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, shared his perspective on this development. “The emphasis on ensuring the uninterrupted citizenship of Nepalis living abroad is crucial for maintaining their connection to the homeland,” Khatri stated. “It is commendable to see political leaders like Lingden prioritizing this issue and working towards safeguarding the rights of Nepali expatriates.”
