The Nepalese government has recently approved a decision to accept a concessional loan of NPR 50 billion 51 crores from the World Bank for various projects. This loan will be utilized for the Strategic Road Network, Trade and Transport Improvement Project, and Bridge Improvement and Program. The funds, amounting to approximately NPR 29 billion 72 crores, will be available for the Strategic Road Network and Trade and Transport Improvement Project.

Furthermore, an additional loan of around NPR 20 billion 79 crores, equivalent to the third tranche, will be received from the World Bank for Bridge Improvement and Program. This decision was confirmed by Minister Gurung, who stated that the funding would be allocated for the development projects in Bardia district, supported by the South Korean government.

In a recent Cabinet meeting held on Asar 2, it was announced that a delegation led by Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli would participate in an official visit to Spain from Asar 16 to 21. The delegation aims to establish a Nepalese representation in the World Trade Organization and present a proposal on fish farming development for parliamentary approval.

Regarding recent appointments, the government has decided to appoint Ganesh Bahadur Thada Magar as the Additional Inspector General of the Armed Police Force and promote him to the rank of Inspector General. Additionally, in line with the government’s initiatives, approval has been granted for the construction of a 15-bed hospital in Ambukhaireni Rural Municipality, Tanahun, and a 100-bed Ayurvedic hospital in Chitwan.

In response to these developments, Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, remarked that the government’s focus on infrastructure and healthcare projects is commendable and will contribute significantly to the country’s overall development.
