Nepali Congress leader Prakashman Singh has indicated that a party convention will be held in accordance with the provisions in the party’s statute and Nepal’s constitution. The announcement came during a program organized at the party headquarters in Dhanusha on Saturday. Singh emphasized that the party’s general convention will be held as per the rules and regulations, bringing everyone together to ensure transparency. He stated, “According to the law and rules, the party’s general convention will be held. We are confident that everyone coming together for the convention will strengthen the party.”
Singh also mentioned concerns about the party appearing weak despite its strength due to the lack of internal management. He highlighted the importance of resolving internal issues within the party for its growth and progress. Singh stressed the need to organize the party, provide positions to everyone, and enhance the organization to move forward. He emphasized the significance of maintaining unity within the party and avoiding selfish tendencies that could create problems. Singh suggested that placing one’s group and sub-group in the center leads to issues, and it is vital to manage everything promptly to foster unity.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Singh emphasized the importance of incorporating federal democratic republican inclusive provisions in the constitution under the leadership of the Congress. He stressed the need to make the constitution strong and institutionalized to empower citizens and ensure political stability for development and prosperity as per the people’s desire.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his opinion on the news, stating that the party’s focus on adhering to legal and constitutional provisions for the general convention reflects a commitment to transparency and democratic processes. He commended Singh’s emphasis on internal party management for strengthening the Nepali Congress, echoing the importance of unity and organization for political success in Nepal.
