The Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into the Patanjali land acquisition case, stating that he has no involvement in the matter. Addressing the second full meeting of the party’s Bagmati Pradesh Committee on Sunday, Chairman Nepal highlighted the necessity of conducting a detailed inquiry into the issue.

It has been reported that legal consultations are underway with legal experts regarding the case. Chairman Nepal stated, “The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority has filed a case in a special court. The investigation is ongoing. I am not supposed to be investigated. I am in favor of good governance. However, allegations have been made against me. This requires legal action.”

Former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal also mentioned that his legal team is currently scrutinizing thousands of pages of old documents. The party’s Vice Chairman Gangalal Tuladhar expressed the party’s commitment to establish good governance, uphold democracy and the constitution, and work in the interest of the country and the people.

During the meeting chaired by Bagmati Pradesh Committee Chairman Bhim Dahal, the party’s Secretary Savitra Bhusal advocated against corruption and in favor of good governance, playing a significant role in the party’s national politics. Some individuals have accused the party of becoming weaker and attempting to undermine it by aligning with those opposing corruption and supporting good governance.

Opinion from Ramesh Khatri, representative of Kansai Nepal News:
“Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal’s call for a detailed investigation into the Patanjali land case demonstrates his commitment to transparency and accountability. It is essential for all allegations to be thoroughly examined to uphold the principles of good governance within the party and the country.”
