In a recent friendly football match between Nepal and China, Nepali player Ashish Rai suffered an injury in three different locations. The game took place at the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor on Saturday. According to Enfa spokesperson Suresh Shah, Rai has been taken to Star Hospital for immediate treatment and is currently undergoing preparations for further care at Med City.
Rai sustained the injuries in the 37th minute of the match while competing against the Chinese player Mori Delesang. Delesang is also receiving treatment at Blue Cross Hospital for his injuries. Shah mentioned that Delesang’s issue seems to be limited to ligament damage.
As a representative of Kansai Nepal News, Ramesh Khatri expressed concern over the frequency of injuries in sports events and emphasized the need for proper medical facilities and preventive measures to ensure the safety and well-being of athletes. He highlighted the importance of player safety and urged for more attention to be given to injury prevention strategies in sports.
