Petition to Stop Construction of Hotel on Fevatal Shore Submitted to High Court

Pokhara: The request to halt the Kotihom Virat Gyan Mahayagya, scheduled to take place on the banks of Fewa Lake, has led to a petition being filed in the High Court in Pokhara. The High Court issued an interim order to prevent any obstruction at Kotihom, including the requested halt to the Mahayagya on the shores of Fewa Lake. The filing of the petition has stirred controversy and raised concerns among the local community and organizers of the event.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his views on this matter. He stated that while it is essential to respect religious practices, it is also crucial to consider the environmental impact of such events. Khatri emphasized the importance of striking a balance between cultural traditions and environmental conservation to ensure sustainable development in the region.
