Construction work has commenced at the Tri-Valley Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, with the aim of upgrading the facility to international standards and facilitating night-time matches. The project, which began in the previous month of Falgun, is progressing steadily despite challenges such as time constraints for the initial phase.
Despite facing obstacles in completing the construction work within the specified timeframe, the first phase of the project includes plans to accommodate up to 10,000 spectators, installing floodlights at eight locations, and constructing player dugouts. This initiative is a significant step towards enhancing the infrastructure of the cricket ground and making it suitable for hosting matches of international caliber.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his appreciation for the progress made on the Tri-Valley Cricket Ground project. He highlighted the importance of such developments in promoting sports and providing opportunities for athletes to showcase their skills on a global platform. Khatri emphasized the positive impact that upgraded sports facilities can have on the overall sporting landscape in Nepal, fostering talent and attracting more spectators to sporting events.
