The renowned patisserie “Butterfly Effect” in Honmoku, Tarumi Ward, will be temporarily closed for relocation after its last business day on January 5, 2025 (Sunday). Situated along the bus route (Maiko Tamamon Line) where the former waterworks office was located, the area also features stores like Daiso and V Drug Honmoku branch.

A glimpse in the opposite direction reveals establishments like the Chinese restaurant “Hakuai” and the recently closed “Dondon,” known for its vibrant yellow exterior. The new address for the relocated store is 2-5-18 Maidamon East, Tarumi Ward, where a house-like building is currently under construction.

Taking over the premises of the popular patisserie “Karan Dash,” which closed in the spring of this year, the new establishment seems poised to utilize the existing structure for operations. The forthcoming location, “Blue Mer Maidamon,” is conveniently a short distance from the current store, approximately a 10-minute drive away in a bustling area with heavy traffic flow, suggesting visitors plan their visit with ample time.

Adjacent to the current location, the gelateria “Essenze” has already closed at the end of September, but it is anticipated to reopen in consolidated form at the new site. The new store is set to offer not only cakes and baked goods but also gelato for patrons to enjoy.

Customers have until January 5, 2025, to purchase cakes at the current store before it closes. The reopening date for business at the new location is still “undecided,” so why not savor a final cake treat before the New Year break?
