On the occasion of Mahashivaratri, President Ramchandra Poudel and Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav visited the Pashupatinath Temple to offer prayers and seek blessings. The tradition of performing worship and seeking blessings at the Pashupatinath Temple during Mahashivaratri has been followed since ancient times.
During their visit, President Poudel and Vice President Yadav were warmly welcomed by various dignitaries, including the Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey, the Secretary of the Pashupati Area Development Fund Dr. Milankumar Thapaliya, officials from the fund, members of the Mahashivaratri Main Celebration Committee, local representatives, and devotees.
Following the ritual of circumambulating the main temple, President Poudel performed prayers and received blessings at the Pashupatinath Temple as per the prescribed rituals. The chief priest of Pashupatinath, Ganesh Bhatt, offered flowers and prasad to President Poudel during his visit, accompanied by the First Lady, Savita Poudel.
