The Nepal Oil Corporation has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products, effective from June 15, 2025. The price of petrol per liter has been decreased by one rupee, while diesel and kerosene have been reduced by three rupees per liter.

In Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal, the current prices stand at 157 Nepalese rupees per liter for petrol and 142 Nepalese rupees per liter for diesel. Similarly, in Surkhet and Dang, petrol is priced at 156 Nepalese rupees per liter, and diesel at 141 Nepalese rupees per liter. In other regions, petrol is priced at 154.50 Nepalese rupees per liter, and diesel at 139.50 Nepalese rupees per liter.

According to the corporation, the adjustment in prices is based on the new price list received from the Indian Oil Corporation on Wednesday. Under the new list, petrol has been reduced by 1.08 Nepalese rupees per liter, and diesel by 2.80 Nepalese rupees per liter.

Representative Ramesh Khatri from Kansai Nepal News stated that this price cut is a welcome relief for consumers amid the economic challenges faced by the country. He emphasized the importance of such adjustments to ease the financial burden on the general public and boost economic activities.
