The inauguration of the Jeevan Vikas Community Hospital and Technical Education Foundation in Morang Katari Gaunpalika-2, Haldibari, was marked by PM Oli underscoring the commendable work of constructing a well-equipped hospital through private investment, without relying on government or organizational funding. This initiative aims to deliver high-quality healthcare services to the public.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his views on this development. He commended PM Oli’s decision to prioritize treating patients in need, emphasizing the hospital’s role as a model for society. Khatri highlighted the significance of the hospital’s commitment to not turning away patients due to financial constraints, with an investment of over Rs 2 billion in creating 200 beds initially.
Furthermore, PM Oli’s commitment to expand the hospital to accommodate 300 beds and operate as an educational hospital underscores the government’s pledge to provide necessary support. The selection of Yogendra Mandal as the hospital’s director by PM Oli as a federal parliamentarian was also lauded by local representatives as a step towards fostering innovative work like Mandal’s.
The hospital’s management committee, led by Mandal, aims to offer top-notch healthcare services to underprivileged communities, with modern equipment and specialized medical staff facilitating treatment. The hospital will provide a wide range of services, including emergency care, outpatient services, general and ICU services, radiology, dialysis, and laboratory services, among others.
Mandal revealed that the hospital currently employs 200 personnel, including specialist doctors, with plans to expand services through medical education and training in the coming years. This expansion will enhance the hospital’s capacity to serve a larger population and contribute to the advancement of medical care in the region.
