Kathmandu: Prime Minister Oli faced discontent and lack of trust, leading to another party deciding to withdraw support from his government. Within the main coalition partner, the Nepali Congress, there is also a discussion about finding alternatives to working alongside Oli’s government amidst dissatisfaction.

Political analysts interpret the parties’ move to reconsider support withdrawal and seek alternatives within the Congress as a sign of diminishing trust in the Oli government. Initially, the Central Executive Committee of the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal had decided to withdraw support from the government. However, a meeting held on July 10 by the JSP Nepal had instructed the parliamentary party to reconsider the support withdrawal decision. The parliamentary party meeting, which was supposed to convene sooner, has not been scheduled yet.

Regarding the support withdrawal decision, JSP Nepal is not a participant in the government. Instead, the Civil Liberty Party has decided to withdraw support from the government, nominating Arun Chaudhary as the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation in the Oli-led cabinet. Regarding the withdrawal of support, Civil Liberty Party Chairperson Ranjita Shrestha stated, “We have decided to withdraw support from the government as per the decision made in the parliamentary party meeting. Chaudhary, who represents our party in the government, will resign tomorrow.”

**Opinion from Ramesh Khatri, Kansai Nepal News representative:**
In analyzing the political developments, Ramesh Khatri from Kansai Nepal News points out that the Oli government’s loss of trust and growing dissatisfaction with the support coalition partners indicate a significant shift. Khatri highlights the impact of the inactive government on the Constitution amendment, disrespect towards the coalition partners, leading to the withdrawal of support and dissatisfaction within the JSP Nepal. He emphasizes that the current government is failing to gain continuous trust due to its actions and decisions.

Continuing, Khatri explains the dissatisfaction within the Civil Liberty Party towards the government, citing instances where their minister was dismissed in a disrespectful manner, leading to their support withdrawal. This reflects the growing discontent within the government. In conclusion, Khatri believes that addressing the weaknesses within the current coalition government is crucial, and maintaining consistency with the support partners is essential for its stability and success.

The discussions within the Congress regarding working with the Janata Samajwadi Party and the Civil Liberty Party in finding alternatives indicate a growing sense of dissatisfaction and lack of trust. As the debate around constitutional amendments remains unresolved, concerns about the government’s functioning and cooperation are becoming more apparent. Party leaders like Arjun Narasingha K.C., Shekhar Koirala, and Dila Sangraula have expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s style of operation and are considering alternatives. This internal dissent within the Congress is a significant factor in the current political landscape.

In conclusion, the ongoing debates within the Congress and the decisions made by the JSP Nepal and the Civil Liberty Party reflect a broader sentiment of discontent and distrust towards the Oli government. It is crucial for political stability that these issues are addressed adequately, as the lack of trust among coalition partners could lead to further challenges for the government’s functioning.
