During the inauguration of an international conference on digital crimes organized by the Office of the Attorney General, PM Oli emphasized the necessity of utilizing digital technology for human well-being and prosperity while also warning against the misuse of power under the guise of rights that distorts society.

Highlighting the need for a review of the constitution to address the misuse of social media rights by the government, PM Oli stressed the importance of conducting necessary amendments for effective implementation after ten years of its enactment. Acknowledging the global nature of digital crime control, he emphasized the significance of international cooperation in combating crime through the use or non-use of digital technology and the facilitation of international cooperation in crime control through the use of technological advancements.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, views PM Oli’s stance positively, stating that the emphasis on utilizing science and technology for the betterment of society underscores the government’s commitment to providing citizens with convenience and happiness. However, he notes that in the digital age, concerted efforts are required to prevent crime and ensure impartial justice through objective investigations.

PM Oli reiterated his vision for a prosperous Nepal where good governance, as well as the social and economic rights of the people, are essential. He emphasized the need to avoid any misuse of power and underscored the government’s clear commitment to ensuring the well-being and convenience of all human beings in a democratic system.

In his closing remarks, PM Oli stressed the importance of continued development and progress, highlighting the necessity of advancing towards a complete democracy where every individual’s biological and fundamental rights are protected. He emphasized the government’s determination to lead the country forward by creating a society based on human happiness and easy access to resources while overcoming setbacks.

Legal expert Ramesh Khatri noted the increasing trend of digital crimes within criminal incidents, alongside challenges such as digital fraud, financial crimes, and data security breaches. The event was attended by key figures such as Chief Adviser Vishnu Prasad Rimel, Senior Justice of the Supreme Court Sapna Pradhan Mall, Chief Commissioner of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority Prem Kumar Rai, and General Consul of the International Prosecutor’s Institution Shenaz Mujaffar, among others.
