The initiation of dialysis services at Nepal National Hospital in Kalanki has been highlighted as a crucial step towards addressing the growing number of kidney disease patients in the country. Minister Paudel pointed out that the lack of access to healthy food and environmental pollution are contributing factors leading to the rise in the number of kidney disease patients, posing challenges to the healthcare system.
The launch of dialysis services at Nepal National Hospital has been welcomed by many patients, as it aims to provide convenient care to a large number of individuals in need. Minister Paudel also acknowledged the positive step taken by the private sector in supporting the government’s efforts to improve healthcare services.
Director of the hospital, Dr. Prakash Paudyal, expressed concern over the alarming situation of kidney disease patients in Nepal. He highlighted the statistic that one out of every sixteen adults in the country is suffering from kidney disease, emphasizing the severity of the issue.
