Kathmandu: In an upcoming session of the Parliament scheduled for Falgun 4, a question-answer program will be held with the Prime Minister. The Speaker of the Parliament, Devraj Ghimire, informed the members about the program related to questions and answers with the Prime Minister as per the Rules of Procedure of the House of Representatives 2079.
Speaker Ghimire mentioned that previously there had been a division within the group regarding the question-answer program with the Prime Minister, and the honorable members of Group 8, who are currently in the Parliament, can submit their questions in writing to the Secretary of the Parliament by Magh 30, before 4 PM, as per Rule 58 of the Rules of Procedure.
During a day when the Federal Parliament’s meeting did not take place, the attention of the members was drawn to the work of the thematic committees, and efforts were made to move forward with the committee’s work and actions by the Chairperson and members of the committee. Another session of the Parliament is set to convene on the afternoon of Falgun 4 Sunday.
Ramesh Khatri, representing Kansai Nepal News, expressed his views on this news. He highlighted the importance of transparency and accountability in such parliamentary interactions and emphasized the need for robust questioning to ensure effective governance. Khatri commended the efforts to uphold parliamentary procedures and encouraged active participation from all members for a fruitful exchange during the upcoming session.
