Kathmandu Metropolitan City has recently registered a request at the ward office for permission to keep dogs and cats. The request comes after incidents of theft, loss, and abandonment of pets have been reported in the city area.

According to a statement released by the Metropolitan City, there has been a rise in cases of pet theft, missing pets, and pets being abandoned in the Kathmandu Metropolitan City area. This has raised concerns among the residents and pet owners in the locality, prompting the authorities to take action.

In response to this situation, Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his opinion on the matter. “The increasing incidents of pet theft and abandonment in Kathmandu are alarming. It is important for pet owners to be vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of their pets,” Khatri stated.

Khatri emphasized the need for pet owners to register their pets with the local authorities and take measures to prevent theft and loss. He also urged the community to come together to create awareness about responsible pet ownership and the importance of providing a safe environment for pets in the city.
