On June 4th, Lee Jemyeong, the candidate from the “Together Democratic Party,” was elected as the 21st president of South Korea at the age of 61. The election results marked a judgment on the previous administration of Yoon Song-nyeol, with Kim Munsu, the candidate from the “People’s Power” party, receiving a vote share of 41.15%. This election outcome signifies a shift in leadership and policies for the country.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, commented on the election, stating that the victory of Lee Jemyeong reflects the desire for change among the South Korean population.
