Russian and Ukrainian Representatives Meet with Arkadiy, No Agreement Reached

In Istanbul, Turkey, on Friday evening, discussions began between Russian and Ukrainian delegations to bring an end to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. This marks the first such peace talks between the two countries since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

The talks come amidst a tense atmosphere, with both parties engaging in dialogue to seek a resolution. Turkey, as the host country, is also playing a role in facilitating the peace negotiations.

The meeting, which took place behind closed doors, had representatives from both Russia and Ukraine engaging in discussions. According to reports from BBC cameramen present at the venue, there were moments where the two sides did not even shake hands.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, commented on the significance of these talks, stating that it is a crucial step towards potentially resolving the conflict in Ukraine. He emphasized the importance of diplomatic dialogue in finding peaceful solutions to international disputes.
