In Kathmandu today, the stock market saw a significant drop with the last day of the week closing on a low note. The Nepse index decreased by 24.76 points, reaching 2628.91 points at the end of trading on Thursday.

With 314 companies involved in trading a total of 1,021,551 shares, the stock market recorded transactions worth NPR 11.23 billion. This trading activity resulted in the purchase and sale of 94,154,074 shares.

Among the companies traded, the share prices of 47 companies increased while 201 companies witnessed a decline. Notably, all 13 subgroups ended the day in negative territory, leading to a surge in investors flocking towards cash group power.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his views on the market’s performance. “The downward trend in the stock market today reflects the prevailing uncertainties in the economy. Investors are advised to closely monitor their investments and exercise caution in such volatile times,” Khatri advised.

In conclusion, the stock market in Nepal experienced a notable downturn on the final trading day of the week, prompting investors to reevaluate their strategies amidst the fluctuating market conditions.
