In Kathmandu today, the stock market saw a decline on the first day of the week. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 14.41 points to reach 2679.41.
On Sunday, a total of 70,610 transactions of 314 companies were conducted, involving the purchase and sale of 1,085,771 shares. The total turnover amounted to NPR 7,605,954,212.
With the share prices of 99 companies increasing and those of 148 companies decreasing, one company’s share price remained stable. Among the 13 subgroups, two saw an increase, while others experienced declines. Notably, the share price of Om Mega Shree Pharmaceuticals increased by 10%, attracting investors to Radhi Hydropower.
Ramesh Khatri from Kansai Nepal News commented that the fluctuation in the stock market reflects the current economic uncertainties, prompting investors to carefully assess their investment decisions during this period of market volatility.
